Establishment of New Lawn from Split
Ensure Soil has been well prepared with fine tilth for mixing of Absorber & Earthlee.
STEP 1 & 2
- Make blocks of one square metre using sisal twine and wooden pegs.
- Evenly spread 20-40gms Absorber, 20-40gms Earthlee and 20gms TSP/SSP/DSP (Phosphorus Fertilizer) per square metre.
STEP 3, 4 & 5
3. Mix the above with a jembe 15cm into the soil-depth.
4. Repeat for every square metre.
5. Dip the grass to be planted in Nhance solution containing 10ml Nhance per litre of water for fifteen minutes. Plant the grass.
STEP 6
6. Apply two more Nhance drenches at 3 weeks interval from planting at the rate of 5ml Nhance per litre of water.
Establishment of New Lawn from seeds
Follow from step 1- 4 as above. Plant the seeds.
Apply Nhance as a drench 2 weeks from germination at the rate of 5ml Nhance per litre of water.
Apply two more Nhance drenches at 3 weeks interval from planting at the rate of 5ml Nhance per litre of water.
Maintenance of Existing Lawns
Nhance
Drench at 5ml per litre of water after cutting grass. Apply 4-6 times per year. Minimum interval between two applications should be 4 weeks.
Earthlee
Apply 20g per square metre at the on set of rains.
*Earthlee is fine powder and coats well onto granular fertiliser such as DAP/NPK/CAN/urea etc. 3kg Earthlee can be mixed with 50kg Fertiliser* This will result into slow release of fertilizers and leaching due to heavy rains and sprinkler irrigation will be reduced.
Potting Mixtures
STEP 1 – MIXING OF ABSORBER AND EARTHLEE
Mix one cubic metre (1000 litre) by volume of dry potting mixture thoroughly with 1 kg Absorber and 1 kg Earthlee. Cement mixer can be used to mix large quantities uniformly.
For small amounts of potting mixrure, mix 20 litres of potting mixture (one 20 litre bucket) with 20g absorber and 20g Earthlee on a clean cement floor or clean plastic sheet.
STEP 2 – FILLING CONTAINER/POT
When filling the container/pot with the potting mix, do not fill the Container / pot to the brim as space is required for the expansion of the absorber.
Leave a space of 15% of the container / pot size when filling.
Fill the top 2 – 3cms of the container/pot with plain potting mixture to avoid the UV degradation of Absorber.
New Planting of Shrubs
1. Dig planting hole and keep aside the soil that has been dug out.
2. Measure the volume of the soil ( 1 litre soil = 1 kilo margarine container).
3. Thoroughly mix Absorber 1g + Earthlee 1g with 1 litre volume of soil. If soil volume is 5 litres then apply Absorber 5g + Earthlee 5g.
4. Place the above mixture into the planting hole and plant seedling.
5. Cover the top 2cms with normal soil to prevent UV degradation of Absorber.
Apply water to newly planted shrub to activate the Absorber.
6. Make a solution of Nhance by mixing 10ml Nhance with 1 litre of water and Drench the root zone of the newly planted seedling with 250ml (250gm container of margarine) of the Nhance solution.
7. Apply three more Nhance foliar sprays – first spray starting 3 weeks from planting and the remaining two at 3 week intervals at the rate of 3ml Nhance per litre of water.
Maintenance of Shrubs
Nhance: Drench at 5ml per litre of water at on set of rains. Apply 4-6 times per year. Minimum interval between two applications should be 4 weeks.
Earthlee: Apply 5g per shrub at the on set of rains.
Pest Control
1. Nematode infestation – Make a solution of Achook 20ml and Nhance 200ml per 20 litres of water.
Drench the root zone with 250ml (250 gm container of margarine) of this solution.
Application can be repeated at 3 month intervals.
2. Chewing and sucking pests – Use Achook at the rate of 1 ml per litre of water and spray thoroughly to ensure proper coverage.
